Hundreds of people attended Cozcyt science and technology seminars during the 2022 Zacatecas Cultural Festival
- Within the programming, the Zigzag offered a dozen activities for children, young people and adults
- A forum was established as part of Governor David Monreal’s strategy to rebuild the social fabric and guide vocations towards scientific knowledge
Zacatecas, Zac., April 19, 2022.- With great success, the Zacatecan Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (Cozcyt) was part of the Zacatecas Cultural Festival (FCZ) 2022, a framework in which it developed a dozen workshops and activities that allowed it to bring the exact sciences and the promotion of environmental care to nearly 900 minors and adults.
Through the Zacatecas Zigzag Interactive Science and Technology Center, various activities were carried out at the FCZ Children’s and Youth Forum, which was installed in Plazuela 450, as part of Governor David Monreal Ávila’s strategy to rebuild the social fabric, make visible areas of opportunity for the population and orienting the vocations of the population, especially young people, towards scientific and technological knowledge.
Zigzag’s Deputy Education Director, Sandra Elizabeth Flores, reported that the following workshops were organized during the Cultural Festival: Mathematics, Soma Cube, Tangram, Chopstick Challenge, How to create a cloud, Dragons K, Can crusher, Dilemma of toilet paper, microscopy, memory of the water footprint, germination of beans and cultivation of vegetables, which was attended by nearly 500 girls and women and about 400 boys and men.
