On the way to the University Assembly, this Thursday the new dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UNLP will be voted

This Thursday, at 10, the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Museum of the National University of La Plata (UNLP) will meet with the aim of electing the deputy of the dean Ricardo Etcheverry.

The meeting will take place in the Auditorium on the ground floor of the academic unit and will be broadcast live on the latter’s YouTube channel.

As reported by this medium in the previous notes, the highest authority of the academic unit will be Eduardo Kruse, geologist and Doctor of Natural Sciences, professor at the Faculty and senior researcher at CONICET. Additionally, he is director of the Center for Integral Studies of Exogenous Dynamics.

It should be noted that the meeting of the Council for the election of the rector was to be held this Tuesday but the necessary quorum could not be reached due to the absence of the majority of student councilors (Frente Natural).

This election takes place as part of the renewal of powers in the 17 Faculties which, in turn, take place after the election of graduates and managers of practical work, teachers, non-teachers and students, and in the prelude to the UNLP University Assembly to be held on May 7 at the Faculty of Psychology.

This Friday, however, at 11 am, the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences will meet to discuss the election of its highest academic authority. As learned from this medium, Ricardo Andreau will continue to lead the institution.

Deans have already been elected or re-elected in Psychology, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities and Education, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Astronomical Sciences, Medical Sciences and Architecture.

Finally, the Faculties where he has not yet been elected dean or dean are those of Journalism, Legal and Social Sciences, Exact Sciences, Social Work and Arts.
