TecStorm, an event promoted by JUNITEC (Junior Empresas do Instituto Superior Técnico), is the largest university technology competition nationwide.
The sixth edition of the event will bring together more than 150 university students at the Champalimaud Foundation, from 22 to 24 April.
This year, under the motto “Cross Dimensions, Empower your Idea”, the hackathonwhich since 2017 “promotes entrepreneurship and challenges university students across the country to present disruptive and impactful ideas for society”, collected over 580 entries.
As a team, university students will develop, finalize and present 28 innovative technological projects, the result of a pre-selection of the best ideas presented in the competition.
The work of these teams, which began in February 2022, was supported by the technical and strategic mentoring of TecStorm’s main partners in each of their areas. They are the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Social Responsibility), the Champalimaud Foundation (Health), Galp (Energy) and Vodafone Portugal (Connectivity).
The competing projects will be presented to the jury in a intonation who will evaluate the prototype developed, the details of the progress of the project e business plan associate and will elect the two best teams in each category that will pass to the final evaluation.
The winners of each category will be announced on April 24th during the closing ceremony of the event. The four winning projects will be awarded 10 thousand euros in prizes.
