The Agency will manage the “La Pampa Scientific and Technological Pole” and short and medium term lines of work have been defined to promote the activities that will be carried out.
The Executive Committee of the Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation yesterday held its first meeting, in General Pico, in the framework of the Provincial Law no. 3334.
During the meeting, aspects relating to the regulation, administration and execution of the various objectives proposed by the Agency for Open Science, Technology and Innovation were specified and agreed.
The Minister of Production and President of the Agency, Fernanda González, participated in this first meeting; the Executive Director, Verónica Duarte; the director of the government. Fernando Stacchiotti; and the Director of Administration, Julián Rosales.
A knowledge-based welfare economy
“We define proposals for 2022 relating to both the functioning of the Agency and the launch of the Scientific Technological Pole, which will be presented to the Agency’s Board of Directors”, said Minister González.
“As the Governor recalled, today science and technology are the transversal tools for the productive development that we aim for for the Province and, in this sense, the centralized work of the Agency will allow us to move towards an economy of well-being, based on knowledge. ”He added.
The launch of the Open Science, Technology and Innovation Agency, which is based in the city of General Pico, was promptly presented by the governor, Sergio Ziliotto, in order to manage the promotion, development and financing tools for the integral development of Technology , Innovations and Sciences, advising and promoting the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular those related to research and knowledge.
The Agency will manage the “La Pampa Scientific and Technological Pole”. During the meeting, short and medium-term lines of work were defined to promote the activities that it will carry out. The Scientific and Technological Pole is a common meeting space between the Government, the private sector and the scientific-technological sector, where projects related to the knowledge economy and areas that will contribute to increasing productivity in several traditional sectors and industries such as construction, textiles, manufacturing, food, automotive, trade and agri-food, among others.
